We went up to Galena, IL for Carol's last hurrah! We stayed at one of the bridesmaid's parent's vacation house in EagleRidge and it was absolutely beautiful there. It was a great weekend of girly bonding. We rented a pontoon boat on Saturday and I was lucky enough to get to drive it! That turned out great! The Boat Boy, as we called him, had to jump on the boat from the dock to rescue us cuz I couldn't get it into it's parking spot and kept bumping into the dock! The boat was old and tough to steer....I'm not that bad of a driver :-) After that fiasco, we dropped off Carol at the spa to get a facial and then we set up a Fiesta back at the house in honor of her Honeymoon in Mexico. Then we spent the night eating, drinking and having a dance party out on the porch...we must have woken up the neighborhood!
The Bride safely back on land! See the Boat Boy in the back.

Catch Up!
Well so much for being good about updating...although I do have a good excuse, our internet has been down since the storms so I haven't been able to upload any pictures until now and I'm sure no one wanted to just read what we've been up to, they want pictures! So here we go... a few posts to catch up.
Labor Day Weekend
This past weekend was a great chance for Corey and I to relax and enjoy the wonderful weather. We BBQ'd on Friday night with our buddies Ted & Carol, played a few hours of beach volleyball at North Avenue Beach, took the dogs to Oz park (Rudy's old stomping ground) and saw "Super Bad" which was hilarious!
Here are a few pics from our trip to Oz Park

The Storm that took out the city
A few weeks ago we had those crazy storms that uprooted trees all over the city...it was crazy that night to walk around and see all the damage. It looked like a hurricane had hit the North Side. The tree right in front of our condo uprooted and fell directly in front of our front entrance, thankfully our neighbor was able to cut out an entrance to the building before I got home from work! I miss our trees :-(
The view out our front door
This tree was around the corner and ripped out the sidewalk when it fell over, it smashed a few cars and blocked the entire street.
