The Storm that took out the city

A few weeks ago we had those crazy storms that uprooted trees all over the city...it was crazy that night to walk around and see all the damage. It looked like a hurricane had hit the North Side. The tree right in front of our condo uprooted and fell directly in front of our front entrance, thankfully our neighbor was able to cut out an entrance to the building before I got home from work! I miss our trees :-(

The view out our front door

This tree was around the corner and ripped out the sidewalk when it fell over, it smashed a few cars and blocked the entire street.

Bear Down Baby...getting ready for the season!

Carol & Ted invited me to a Bears preseason game vs the 49ers. It was so much fun to tailgate in 80 degree weather! I wish the entire season could be that way!

An Attempt to Keep in Touch!

I've been very impressed by my friend's blogs and I love what a great tool it is to keep in touch, so I decided to jump on board the blog band wagon. With so many family and friends spread out across the world, it seemed fitting to come up with a way for everyone to get a peek into our everyday lives whenever they'd like.

There's not too much going on at Casa de Gustafson these days, but I vow to put forth my best effort and make it worth your while to make frequent visits and hopefully, you will be entertained, but be prepared for lots of dog pictures!

So sit back, have a margarita, and enjoy the blog!
Love, Marina
